Syn- 2
One morning in the autumn term at a school. Shane who is in his late teens is walking into school, keeping himself to himself and not interacting with other students or staff. As he continues down the corridors occasionally he looks around to see what is going on around him. Students around are talking and laughing in their small groups, teachers are chatting formally to one another, none of them are noticing Shane. As Shane obverses them a few times he notices a young boy who is in year 7 being bullied by 3 year 9 boys. Shane freezes as he remembers when he was the young boy being bullied. Standing aside from the action he watches in distress, memorising the times of his abuse, continually watching this group of boys. He slowly edges forward with angrier building up from years ago. He now feels confident to stand up to these bullies he storms over to the group and starts asking them to stop. The young year 7 boy backs off into the distance, as the year 9 boys notice Shane, already high tempered the boys start picking on Shane. Shane doesn’t back down, and asking them what did the year 7 boy do to be bullied. The boys move closer to Shane; a fear of the past crosses Shane’s face, trying to keep composure. All the hassle has alerted the attention of other students around, interested in what’s going to happen they watch in suspense. The group of boys are really close to Shane, again asks them to stop bulling someone that is younger then them, they refuse and tell Shane to move out the way. But instead of walking away Shane stands his ground. The boys start pushing him telling him to move. Angrier is progressing growing on Shane’s face and body. Shane turns as if to walk away but then remembers names that he used to be called. He then turns back and hits the main leader of the group of boys. Everyone around is shocked, Shane’s backs off into freedom away from the crowd shaking realising his hurt. Some of the crowd looks in shock and the rest are concerned about the year 9.
